Berry Smoothie

Description

A delicious smoothie made with frozen berries and acai!

I love fresh berries, especially blueberries, and this smoothie is an explosion of berry flavors.

This smoothie uses frozen fruit, as well as a fresh banana to make it smooth and creamy.

This recipe makes about 4 medium-sized smoothies.

Tips

Feel free to substitute your favorite frozen berries into this recipe.

It can be tough to get the correct consistency in the blender, but add water if the mixture is too thick and isn't mixing correctly.

If you want to make smoothie bowls, add less water to the mixture to get a thicker consistency and then top with granola and fresh fruit.

List of Ingredients

  • 1 Packet of Frozen Unsweetened Acai
  • 1 Cup of Frozen Blueberries
  • 1.5 Cups of Frozen Strawberries
  • 1 Cup of Fresh Spinach (loosely packed - about one handful)
  • 1 Fresh Banana
  • 1.5 Cups of Water
  • 1/2 Cup of Grape Juice

Recipe Steps

  1. Using a blender, start by adding the water
  2. Add the fresh spinach, acai, frozen blueberries, and frozen strawberries
  3. Add the banana to the blender by breaking it up into pieces (3 or 4)
  4. Add the grape juice
  5. Blend on a medium speed until the mixture is smooth and everything is incorporated together
  6. Add more water to make the consistency more liquid
  7. Pour the mixture into cups and enjoy!
