Bacon
Bacon is the ultimately breakfast food... it's salty, chewy, and simply delicious!
This recipe uses the oven for easily cooking bacon with little clean-up.
Ingredients
- 1 package of Bacon (recommendation: Niman Ranch - Uncured Applewood Smoked Bacon)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees (F).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add the bacon on top of the parchment paper in a single layer.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the bacon slices.
- Once the bacon is out of the oven, put the bacon on a plate with paper towels to soak up the excess grease.
Tips
- The bacon can be crowded or even touching on the parchment paper, but it should not be layered or overlapping.
- Keep some excess parchment paper on each side of the baking sheet to help keep all the grease on the parchment paper.
- Let the bacon grease completely cool (and solidiy) and then simply throw the parchment paper away for an easy clean-up.
- The parchment paper should prevent the bacon grease from splattering in the oven.
